Nuconsteel, a Nucor Company, is a fully integrated designer and manufacturer of total framing solutions for both commercial and residential markets. As America's largest steel producer and recycler, Nucor is a Fortune 500 corporation as well as a leading member of the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). While Nucor CEO, Dan DiMicco, was the 2003 AISI Chairman, several Nuconsteel staff members serve on the AISI committees on Specifications and Framing Standards. Also a member of the Steel Framing Alliance (SFA), Nuconsteel staff also serve on the board of directors and many committees within the organization.
Since 2001, Nuconsteel has been providing load-bearing cold-formed steel roof, floor and wall framing systems for commercial and residential building projects across the United States. To date, Nuconsteel's framing systems have been used as all or part of the primary framing in more than 2,000 assisted living centers, schools, hotels, office buildings, apartments, churches, and in virtually every other commercial building segment. Its track record is unmatched in the industry. If it can be done in cold-formed steel, Nuconsteel has done it.
Nuconsteel also brings the industry the most advanced and innovative automated framing systems available, for both truss and panel applications. The wall and truss systems consists of all the components needed to produce high quality, cost-effective panels - walls, ceilings, roofs, or even floors - for the residential and light commercial market. Supported by extensive training and technical documentation, each system includes roll forming equipment, integrated software and high quality steel coils - eliminating the need for any measuring, cutting or layout processes.
In partnership with its sister Nucor companies (Vulcraft, Nucor Building Systems and Nucor Fastening Systems) and strategic partners (Clark Steel Framing Systems, Scottsdale Construction Systems and Illinois Tool Works), Nuconsteel delivers unparalleled, comprehensive products and service for any framing application. And all of our framing products are produced from 100% Nucor prime steel, and are 100% recyclable.
Nucor has announced the closure of its Nuconsteel division on January 5, 2012.
